about

For their latest album, Here Are The Facts You Requested put aside their usual kaleidophony of sound manipulation in favor of their first ever all-acoustic production. Pianos, banjos, upright bass and other porch sounds abound.

This all-old release features five songs from the bands early years in Baltimore that were mainstays of live performances, yet never captured on recording. How The West Was Lost is the sole new song written and recorded this year that tells the tale of Eric's exodus from California back to the east coast. All songs were recorded in Eric's music store, McNeil Music of Ithaca using instruments found in the store.

While many groups burrow deeper into genres which seem to fracture music, Here Are The Facts You Requested finds the best music is not in fractions, but fractals. They rise above styles to speak about music in its totality - the grand melting pop.

Comprised of happy noise, the music of HATFYR is aggressively eclectic. They seek the psychedelic within pop as genres collapse and cross-pollinate.
